Guiding Questions:

What is the internal and external reason for people becoming datasexual?
Is data fetishism a product by itself, or is it a worship of data?
How does digitalization function in our real life, and what has been changed by it?
What is people’s authentic desire when obsessed with data and self-track?

Final Video

The first inspiration came from a moment when I was reading Byung-Chul Han’s Psychopolitics. Concepts like Data, Panopticon, and Neoliberalism point out our current situation in which we are all trapped in the world of “black transparency.” In this neoliberal Landscape, data transcends over isn’t numbers or ratios. Data, information, and messages are the new forms of currency we use to spend on our everyday supplies.

Funopticon Amusement Park is a digital-media-based 3D animation with partial film and performance, which is a mirrorball of my everyday life of self-surveillance through data in my everyday life.
